Harrogate Council was founded in 1946. A petition was presented to the Supreme Council by:-

C.T.J. O'HANLON (GK), J.S.FARRAH (DGK), Very Rev. Canon T.S. BENTLEY, T.BALLANTYNE, H.D.BARTON, H.CONSTABLE, J.DEVLIN, F.G.DOYLE, J.S.GARNER, A.E.HATCH, C.HENRY, B.J.A.KOHLBECKER, J.A.PEACOCK, R.A.RONCHETTI, F.J.SCHIENDORFER, G.F.SHEEHY, H.SMITH, M.STEAD, M.WHELAN, L.V.YOUNG.

Praying the said Supreme Council to grant a Charter of Constitution & erection in the usual form for holding a Council under the name and title of "HARROGATE". The Charter was given under the hand of the Supreme Knight on the 25th August 1946.

During their initiation ceremony, the Knights promise always to pray
for their deceased Brothers. Those who came before us and are now
passed away. In Council 363, we regularly remember past Brothers
