As a member of the Knights of St Columba you and your family will enjoy many
personal and family benefits. It also provides members and their
families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church,
their communities, families and young people.
Members receive 4 free issues of the Columba magazine annually and are eligible for any other benefits provided by the Knights of St Columba.
Our council hosts a large number of council activities throughout the year. In addition to the council business meetings which are held twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday, at 8:00 pm; regular social activities including Beer & Skittles, BBQs, etc, these occur throughout the year.Monthly activities in which the Council members participate include Praying the Rosary, Mass, Religious Appreciation, monthly 200 club draw, etc. Annual activities have included Sponsored walks, Retreats, Memorial Mass, Christmas Dinner and Provincial Dinner.
Recent beneficiaries have been Clinicare and the Catholic Children’s Society, each receiving a donation of £900.00.
Our ladies, both wives and widows, also provide invaluable support to the knights and the council by providing assistance at events and fund raising activities. They have recently formed their own support group known as the Columbines’, and meet socially on a monthly basis.
